LACK OF INVENTORY
My clients have long been empty nesters, living in a large two-story home for over 40 years. Pride of ownership is evident the moment you walk into the home. The couple have been ready to sell for years. But just like many other Baby Boomers, and even in this case the Silent Generation, the thought of moving caused indecisive stress. So many other homeowners like them wait and wait to sell, sometimes waiting till health forces the situation. Homes like these that do not enter the market contribute to the current lack of inventory in Ventura as well as across Ventura County.
UNDERSTANDING THE SELLERS' NEEDS
After the initial discussion of selling their home, the stumbling block was clear. They made it evident that they had been slowly donating and downsizing all their belongings to someday get ready to sell. However, the thought and task of going through and liquidating their personal assets were overwhelming.
PACK YOUR SUIT CASE AND SAIL OFF INTO THE SUNSET
Just as easy as that. I proposed 2 scenarios for my clients. The first was to have my partnered estate liquidator come in 10 days prior to close of escrow and sell the household items on my clients' behalf. The second was to literally pack their suitcase and move to their next destination - out of state to their daughter's home who would be their caretaker - and liquidate belongings after they move. They chose the latter. So when we close, my clients will leave everything behind minus their suitcase and some memorabilia. This is why they chose Seaside Realty: we provided solutions for our client's needs.
IN ESCROW AFTER 2 DAYS ON MARKET
With correct pricing, professional photos, and online exposure, Seaside Realty was able to secure a buyer within 2 days of officially being on market. We were able to reduce the stress of the buyers, assisting them on their desired journey, and provide a solution to increase inventory for the next family to enjoy for the years to come.
